I'm Mad as Hell, and I'm not
going to take it anymore!!
Do Not Buy From Panther Campers.
They will steal your
money. They are crooks.
I was looking for a good lightweight camper to put on
my Toyota Tundra, and I came across Panther Campers. I had no idea what crooks
these people would turn out to be.
Here's my experience:
The camper weighed so much that the mileage on my Toyota
Tundra dropped from 17 mpg down to 10-11 mpg.
It was so bulky and heavy that I decided to sell it.
They offered to sell it and took it on consignment.
So they got me coming and going. They sold me a p.o.s.
that didn't work for my needs (getting decent mileage) and they got to make
more money by selling the p.o.s. again.
Nothing happened. A year went by, and they said they
finally got a buyer. My take on this unit would be $2130, of which
I originally paid over $7000 for. That is the kind of deprecation you can expect.
Of course, actually getting the money would
turn out to be another exercise in futility.
Months went by, and my check never came. Phone
calls, emails, etc ... excuses and more excuses.
There are two key people at this disreputable company:
Doug Hill and Peter Houle. Peter is the one who has been the front-line
screwer. Here's an email from him finally agreeing to pay me:

Next, they finally promised to pay me:

What are the results? It is now November 7 as I
write this, and I have only received one check. They stopped returning
phone calls.
This company is
run by liars.
Have you been screwed by Panther Campers? If so,
do the same thing I'm doing - contact people that can have an impact.

Note to Panther - this website will come down when
I'm paid in full. But the rest of the damage will be beyond my control
- ongoing posts in forums, letters to local newspapers, "Don't buy
from Panther" letters to your competitors, etc. Got it?
