Taking Your Coaching to the Next Level
For coaches, working with Diana offers two benefits: helping you to move more deeply into Conscious living, and also learning how to do the same for your clients. It can open a whole new depth to both your and your clients' lives.
Diana describes coaching as primarily consisting of three different levels. Level 1 is a "I'll coach you, and we'll see some changes." Level 2 moves is a more accountable, task-oriented style. In Level 2 coaching she says, "The coaching will you give you strategic ideas, you'll set some goals and then have accountability in achieving them."
Both Level 1 and Level 2 coaching work on the situations in a person's lives, not the underlying circumstances keeping them there. It's like rearranging the furniture; it might liven up the place and make it more practical to an individual's situation, but on the outside it's still the same old house.
Level 3, the type of coaching Diana does, is more akin to discovering whether you're even in the right house. It's about embarking on an inner quest and being ready to accept whatever truths you may find. For it is quite possible that your outer world - what you think is important - in reality is not.
Like all the coaching she does, it is a journey out of the head and into the heart. It's about easing out of the Egoic level of living and moving into Conscious Awareness. It's about surrendering, accepting what is, and moving into alignment with it.
Diana has extensive training and experience in this type of coaching, and she will help you learn it during your journey with her. Not only does she take you through the processes and techniques she uses, she uses your own experience as the teaching.
By explaining to you what she did, why she did it, and letting the session merge with you, it helps you integrate the experience your own clients will have when you use them.
Learning how to utilize body-centered coaching is one of the especially powerful tools you'll learn. The body never lies, and it is where you will find a person's real truth. No matter how convincing a client's voice and dialogue might be, their body will be giving out "flags" constantly giving off cues about what's really going on inside.
Flags are the unconscious ways our body talks. It's in the voice and the body's movements. The person is telling you one thing, but the body is telling you another. Diana will teach you how to read and listen to that other place accessible through the body flags.
Diana likens it to The Wizard of Oz. The Ego is like the big voice and face on the screen; the essence of a person is more akin to the man behind the curtain. She says, "In the movie you get this big picture of the Wizard on the screen, and behind the curtain is the real truth. People often think they are the Wizard of Oz up there on the screen; they're actually the person behind the curtain - and that's the person I'm interested in working with."
Another very valuable tool Diana will teach you is how to use personas. You can think of these as different "parts" or "personalities" within you. They might be the trickster, joker, lover or critic. Unbeknownst to people, these parts are actually playing themselves out within you and likely controlling a person's life. By identifying them and giving them names, it brings them out of the shadows and into the open.
Once you or your clients see the truth of who these personas are - especially in Diana's playful and engaging manner - it makes it much easier to see what's really going on. Using such techniques as exaggeration and roll playing enables you to creatively uncover hidden agendas and behavior patterns.
One of the reasons Diana especially enjoys working with coaches is because they've already done a lot of personal work and may be looking for assistance in moving to a more conscious life. This is one of the things Diana does best.
